Our current exhibition GLISTEN will put a sparkle into everyone’s Christmas! featuring an extraordinary collection of original artwork - paintings, prints and mixed media works by an impressive line-up of artists, whose work includes a collection of stunning pieces created by Melbourne Festival Artists.

Following the success of our autumn exhibition People & Places (closing 8 November), Creative Melbourne Gallery are thrilled to bring a little sparkle to Christmas with GLISTEN an exhibition running from 12 November until Christmas.  

Glisten features work by resident artist Michelle Holmes, who will be exploring the magic of frost and forests through embroidery. We’re thrilled to welcome back still life artist Steven Tandy, whose timeless pieces always prove a talking point! Steve McLoughlin’s stunning landscapes are making a return alongside Peter Watson’s striking Derbyshire paintings.

 They are joined by paper-cut artist Connie Wan-Hart, whose intricate, whimsical pieces are made to be loved for a lifetime. Katherine Brunt celebrates natural beauty using willow as thread to stitch works of wonder, while jeweller Christine Pearson creates pieces to help you glimmer. Artist Helen Rhodes adds warmth to the gallery walls.

Russell Wilson joins us for the first time at the gallery with his ceramics inspired by 19th Century wooden Noah’s Ark animals, giving them an endearing quality perfect for gifting. Also in ceramics we have Janet Gibson, whose happy little pots spruce up both garden and home. All this and more can be seen in Glisten!  

 Join us for Christmassy fun on Friday 5 December for Melbourne’s Late Night Shopping event. We’ll be opening until 8pm with plenty of mince pies and gifts perfect for loved ones on the nice list!

The exhibition is open until Saturday 20th December, when the Gallery closes for the festive season.

In addition to our featured artists don’t miss the stunning work by our studio artists Sujata Aten, Michelle Holmes and Patrick Twiss-Prentice.
